Two months ago my job was dissolved and sent to India along with 4 other departments. I worked for this major bank for 23 years and now I am trying to find another job. Too old to start over again, where does this leave Americans that have dedicated their lives to a company only to be sent on our way while our jobs are sent to people who can't even speak good english!  As the days were winding down till my job was finished, I had to make corrections to all the mistakes occuring from our "New" department in India. It's a slap in the face when you are told you will no longer be employed and then expected to correct and train the people taking over your position. What is America coming too???  I hope the customers that I worked so closely with are now enjoying trying to understand someone who has 1/10th the knowledge I had when I was employed with the bank.  Am I bitter? You bet I am.

Cindy, I feel your pain! I was a business manager with a BS in Business Administration, was layed off, 01-11-07 and still have no bites on over 1000 resumes sent. Job discrimination on age is rampant and no one to govern it. Hope your job seeking is better than mine.
