Bush can do no wrong. Any suggestion to the contrary constitutes THE HIGHEST TREASON.

I would say that "They did the right thing" when they invaded Iraq.

Oh, there's often room for improvement in war.  Yes, I believe that more troops should have been involved in the invasion and aftermath of Iraq but hindsight is 20/20.  As it stands now - the surge (ours and Iraqi) has made a significant difference in Iraq.  But I think the state of our military had a lot to do with our ability to respond to 9/11.  It was in a pretty sad state when Clinton left office & we've had to spend a lot of money rebuilding it.  Had our military been as strong as it was under Reagan then we wouldn't have had the issues that we had in Iraq.

Let's see if I can help you out just a bit from the gawdawful radio shows youv'e been listening to. Clinton "downsized" the military. By doing so he unkownly brought up it's standards. When Clinton left office the sign on Army recruting offices said "Welcome to the Army, we have the HIGEST standards in our ENTIRE history"

The Army that Wille Jeff passed of to Duyba is the one that went into Iraq and took care of business.

Today the sign on the Army recruting office reads "Welcome to the Arrmy, our standards are as LOW OR LOWER than 40 years ago in Vietnam, and give us them we will get them lower"

That's a fact Jack!

=======

Hmmmmm, let me see if I can lend Lebs27 a hand.  I served in the Army all 8 years Clinton was president. I know that personnel strength was cut by half.  We went from 18 divisions in the army to 10.  The Air Force went from 36 fighter wings to 20.  The numbers of naval ships dropped by 44% and was short of needed personnel by 22,000.  We were unable to do normal, opeational training due to lack of fuel and ammunition (I was mechanized infantry).  At Ellsworth AFB, more than half of the B-1 bombers couldn't carry out missions due to the lack of critical parts.  More than half of the Army's rotary wing aircraft had been cannibalized to keep the remaining aircraft flying.

Clinton gutted the military & left us weak and ill-prepared to fight this global war on terror.  Bush has had to push hard to get the military built back up again so that we (I'm still in the military) wouldn't have to do so many rotations overseas.  Clinton was a shame in the White House and a shame as a commander in chief.

Bush has successfully proved that he is incompetent---the wrong man for the job. He was not elected, but awarded the presidency by the the Supreme Court.

"  Bush has successfully proved that he is incompetent---"
1) recession (Started under Clinton)
2) Corporate scandals (clinton) - Enron, Sarbanes Oxley bill results now
3) 9/11 estimated to cost over $1 trillion to the economy
4) War on Terror/Iraq -(freed over 50 million from dictatorship)
5) Natural disasters - all the hurricanes, floods, etc.

And then you compound this by idiots who never ran a company, a state, and a country who
like you probably are sucking on a beer, playing with your right hand and watching some
pinhead news anchor who mouths such idiocies like Brian Williams  In November 2006,  decided
to label the infighting in the country a “civil war” amidst great flourish.
Yes you probably have never read the brookings institute twice weekly report or the
Iraq Casualties reports.
You get your news from Soros (the $2.9 billion a year hater of all things Bush who funds Moveon.org)
and according to Harvard studies when idiots like you and the following love to see US troops get killed,
guess who is also emboldened:
"Are insurgents in Iraq emboldened by voices in the news media expressing dissent or calling for troop withdrawals from Iraq?
The short answer:is yes, according to Radha Iyengar, a Robert Wood Johnson Scholar in health policy research at Harvard and Jonathan Monten of the Belfer Center at the university's Kennedy School of Government.
http://www.ncpa.org/sub/dpd/index.php?Article_ID=16097
STUDY ABSTRACT
Using data on attacks and variation in access to international news across Iraqi provinces,  we identify an “emboldenment” effect by comparing the rate of insurgent attacks in areas with higher and lower access to information about U.S news after public statements critical of the war. We find in periods after a spike in war-critical statements, insurgent attacks increases by 5-10 percent. The results suggest that insurgent groups respond rationally to expected probability of US withdrawal."

Statements like these that encourage the thug/barbarians to kill more people...
-- Ted Turner (Founder of CNN news) did the other day "freedom fighters"
-- Senate Majority Leader!!- Harry Reid(D) "War is lost",
-U.S. Rep. John Murtha(D) of Pennsylvania. "Our troops killed innocent civilians in cold blood,”  he said.
-- Senator Kerry (D)  "American soldiers going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and
       children.   ”http://newsok.com/article/3106232]

So given this extreme MSM bias that has directly prolonged the conflict (which was officially accomplished
when Saddam was deposed) by their encouragement you idiots encouragement you have helped kill
US troops, innocent children and 50,000 Iraqis.

Go ahead and show your complete ignorance regarding President Bush because to date
no other President has had as many major events to handle WHILE at the same time being totally
besmirched, lied about, and directly hindered by the biased (proven by the way Ask Evan Thomas
newsweek Editor about MSM bias) MSM and those craven short term power hungry democrats
who are UNHAPPY THAT THERE AREN'T ANY MORE DEATHS IN IRAQ!

Yes President Bush will be regarded by historians who with the advantage of 20/20 hindsight will
as one of the greatest Presidents in spite of all the ignorance by people like you.
