I read she doesn't play golf and doesn't care about being a "Green Jacket" wearer. Also, I don't think the head honchos even had that in their heads when they chose her to be their CEO.  Her decision if they want to keep participating as a supporter of the tournament or not and I dont think Augusta officials really care that much, many other companies would be honored to step in IBM's place.

As a guy, I dont understand why woman always want to be in a mans club. Just like Danica Patrick wants to be considered a challenger in racing and wants to be treated equally and doesn't like it when she is referred to as sexy. Maybe she shouldn't pose in a bikini leaning on a car?  You want to be taken seriously, they leave SEX out.

 

 

Ms. Patrick is a classic case where she stomps her foot when she says, 'men look at me sexually' , then demands that she is one of the boys. Hogwash.

Absolutely. IBM does not need Augusta anymore than Augusta needs IBM. This argument about business on a golf course is moot in this case. One club. One club's rules. Big deal.

Augusta is so important.  Not.  Do you watch the Masters?  I do not and I love golf.  I have golfed at the Old Course.  Augusta is one club with stupid rules.  So not important.
