What has happened to our sense of compassion?  At least the War on Poverty tried to FEED poor people, instead of taxing them more because they couldn't afford health insurance.

Tonight, the news showed unemployed people who couldn't pay their mortgage, but I could easily direct them to people in much worse shape than that.

The Prez and the Democrats have tried for over 6 months now to consult with and reach a compromise with the Repubs.  So far, no dice.

It's clear now that there is no compromise-and-consensus agreement/deal possibility with the Repugs.

There are reasons that the public voters in 2008 elected a Democratic majority in both Houses, as well as the White House.

Sad, but true - the WH and Congress will have to exercise the Majority "Option" and simply getherdun, for the benefit of all of us.
