In my opinion: our men who join the military are only doing what they are told. When my brother joined the service. I noticed as a young girl how he had changed from joining the military. It is as if they molded him to a different man. They couldn't change what my mother instilled in him loving his family. But I will never forget when he came back from Vietnam. He was going to pick up a new vehicle and we got to come along with mom and him. He was going to run the little boy down next door who was playing near the road. My mother had grabbed the wheel and yelled, "What the hlel are you doing?" He replied, Mom if you don't kill them first, they will kill us. She replied" You are in America. You are home. You either drive like you should or let me drive. That night he told my sister and I about how it was over in that war. Sad to say, but I don't want any of my kids in the military. I seen all 5 brothers of mine through it. But one still like to play GI Joe still to this day. I call him my GI Joe brother.
