From ET:
LARRY BIRKHEAD, the biological father of ANNA NICOLE SMITH's baby, is making headlines in London with his OK! exclusive on newsstands today -- he and little DANNIELYNN appear together in a photo series for the new issue's cover story.
"All the joy that parents experience when they go to the delivery room and they see the baby for the first time, I felt that," he says of his first meeting with his baby girl. "It was great."
In the interview, Larry says he has found an unlikely ally in Anna's companion, HOWARD K. STERN, who fought him over establishing paternity. Larry even compliments Howard on assisting him with fatherly duties.
"It seems unlikely but he's been a great help," Larry says. "He's just really tuned me in, because he's been with Dannielynn the last several months. He knows her likes and dislikes, and he's kind enough to help me out.
"It still doesn't seem like she's gone or that DANIEL is gone for that matter. And there's times when I see Dannielynn smile, when she's all happy and I think how happy Anna would be about her happiness."
As for reports about Larry wishing to change his baby's name, "Birkhead has been swapped for Stern," he says, "but I don't want to change anything else -- that's what her mother named her and even though I didn't get a say, I still want to respect her mother's wishes."
Meanwhile, Dannielynn met her new nanny for the first time yesterday in the Bahamas. Both Howard and Larry were present at the meeting. Larry hired the new nanny, and he reportedly hopes that the 40-year-old from Los Angeles will help raise Dannielynn for years to come.
