I had my by-pass surgery April 2008. I was discharged from the hospital with lots of pains. But I was prescribe Tramadol for pain, Lorazepam for anxiety. Other medications, Plavix which I discontinued after 6 months, Metoprolol for chest pain, and blood pressure, and baby asprin. Now lately I take Iron pills, and potassium. I excercise a little bit, walk to the store do not drive, eat but try to choose my food to excluded from fat to lower my cholesterol which is kind of high for now. I had problem not sleeping before, so instead of sleeping pills, I take Lorazepam, it relaxes me, and I am in bed sleeping in few hours. And at home, I keep a blood pressure monitor, a heart beat monitor, saturation monitor. It helps me keep track of some of my vitals systems. Its almost a year now, and I am feeling much better. I also was diagnosis with COPD, so my breathing is slow a little bit. So I am using an inhalor, a portable one. I feel much better, and a little secure. I hope you feel better. The doctor gave a good 20 more years, that if I keep my cholestorol down, excercise a little bit. And not to worry too much about it.
