Personally, I am a bit disgruntled by our lawmakers inability to deal with this immigration issue. My family roots hail from England and who knows where else... My wifes Mother is an immigrant from Germany (legal).... Two of my stepdaughters are married to "legal" mexican immigrants (legal recently, I might add)... So my opinion is this:
1. Abide by our laws (If you are illegal, then you "should" worry, you probably, intentionally disregarded my nations laws.
2. File taxes if you are required to, if you falsify documents, worry... If you are filing and are here illegally, then you shoudl NOT be here to file taxes in the first place.
3. Law Enforcement, All levels (down to the LOCAL level) You SHOULD have the authority to question someone about their legal status in our country if you have "probable cause"...and you better have that cause ! You SHOULD be Enforcing our immigration laws just as you do the law for stopping at a Stop Sign or Stealing.... Our Immigration Laws and Policy may need to be updated but they are not BROKEN.... They are NOT ENFORCED
4. Law Makers, SHAME it is time to deal with this issue, enforce the law, close the border, protect my country FIRST.... then worry about the guy that ran the border, had babies here in America and now is moaning that he or she may be deported and split up his/her family.... Should have been applying for papers 24 years ago... You didn't... and you expect us to change the law to accomodate you ??
Law Makers..continued... The day is really coming when we are going to rid ourselves of those tipsy folks that wont do what is RIGHT for our County first... Out you Go.... Wait and See...It will not be as long as you think to route you out of office....
