I was wondering why the news media hasn't given appropriate coverage to the devastating flooding in Nebraska.  Tens of thousands of people have lost their homes, businesses, farms, etc. throughout the past month; however, national media apparently have chosen to ignore this devastation. Several levees have given way and the dam causing the damage is spilling out water at a rate never known before.  Since this flooding is the worst in decades, I would wonder if this flooding would be taking place elsewhere (either on the east or west coasts) if this would have been newsworthy.  It appears that even the College World Series has taken a back seat to other newsworthy reporting.  Why is this?
