Has anyone been told by Countrywide to apply for the HOPE program. We did so and were told NOT to send in money because it would ruin our chances of qualifying. Then we got a sale sticker on our door when we thought we were taking care of the situation. We were flat out lied to! I know I can't be the only one Countrywide has done this to. They had a whole department just for this program.

I know. I called my lender to try to get some assistance, but I am ALWAYS on time with my payments, so I don't qualify! I feel like I SHOULD get 60 days behind so I can get some of this money that's being pumped into the economy. My mortgage payment is priority #1, and I'm being penalized for it. Shouldn't a great customer -- a brick in the wall keeping my lender from going under -- get some benefits? Does this seem rediculous to anyone else??? I just want some relief to keep up with rising prices.
