I happened to be watching the interview Charlie Rose had with the chairperson of Wipro.  It was interesting what the man had to say.  He kept talking repeatedly about competition and yet noticed how pensive he got when Charlie asked to elaborate on that.  Another was this man would not say cheaper labor costs yet everyone knows this is what this is.   He instead mentions labor being more productive!

He was also mentioning they have a high attrition rate in America because American companies want their folks.  And they cannot get the skill set in America so they have to ship all these characters over here.  And yet amazingly Wipro does not have this going on in China.  They do not have domestic services in China is what I recall the man mentioning.  The Chinese are not fools like Americans.  They have their own people who can do everything Wipro does rather than having this character believing we Americans are imbeciles in need of his expertly skilled cadre of Indian gurus.

It is amazing is it not this lack of American skill.  I have a degree in Chemical Engineering from a top notch school and a Computer Science degree from this country also and yet from 2002 to 2006 did not have a job.  Yes this is what I said.  I suppose I am a mentally ill unskilled person now.  Americans need to get their head out of the sand.  We are being robbed with propaganda and clichés.

I find it tragic that so many so called educated Americans living in our country claim the offshore of labor is solely about cost cutting and not about intellectual prowess or productivity. As a U.S. citizen who loves this country I find in some cases as in a factory operation or telemarketing the emphasis is usually on costs. We have a higher standard of living then many countries and we have offshore work to lower paying areas of the world as well.  I think, we need to expand the overall U.S. employee skill sets and our government needs to compensate  for labor adjustments in order for the U.S.  to compete competitively if we are to continue to enjoy the lifestyles we current have in the U.S. One idea that comes to mind as a means to obtaining access to global needs is to ease taxes on the goods and services for work exchange incentives with other countries, or to allow favorable trade advantages.
