I noticed that Vinita and Jackie both made the mistake of calling the President Mr. Obama during the first segment of the show this morning.  Vinita used both the appropriate and inapproriate title in the same introduction!  Let's give credit where it is do.  He is our President.  Show him the respect that comes with the job.

Thanks,

The proper title is President but the proper way to address the President is either President or Mr. Thisd has been checked over and over wand people have asked this during several previous administrations. The writtenm protocol is Pres. or Mr. and both are used so as not to be repettitive.

I'm just telling you what is proper and Mr. Obama is proper. We looked it up many times.

The point is that it is not a mistake. It is the proper way to address a President as is Mr. President or Mr. Surname. Either is correct and this has been verified in other threads over and over by checking the protocol of addressing presidents.

In public speech, one should refer the officiating president as Mr. President. Former presidents also hold their officiation.
