Thanks...you said some of the things I wished I had said...see my post below...
TO: Charles & George:
What a shock to find out I was watching FOX and not ABC...when did you guys go over to the dark side of partisan punditry? I always thought you worked for ABC NEWS.
Your comments were offensive in their lack of "truthiness" or even just good old common sense. Where were you guys when the GOP was outspending the DEMS and pounding them with RNC and 527 slime?
Just like Clinton's claims that she was outspent in the PA primary when we all know that her campaign ads were backed up by huge expenditures from 527's, McSame and the Republics* will hammer Obama with millions of unregulated dollars of slime (*we don't call it the Republican Party anymore because we don't want them to feel so inferior...they can't seem to get the words Democratic Party out of their mouths so we need to humor them and their silly attempt to demean us be saying Democrat Party).
Senator Obama promised he would take public financing...and he has. I'm one of the millions of people who are funding the Obama campaign...I am the public...I am the working poor and I give in increments of $10 or $25 when I can so we can elect a good man to stand up for "we the people" and not get us stuck with another tax and spend GOP warmonger. I'm proud of Senator Obama for standing up and saying NO to a silly system that has favored the GOP for years...
I'm old enough to know who John McCain really is and to know how he has changed. The picture has never been pretty, but it's getting worse...think Dorian Gray. McCain has proven he would sell his soul to win the White House.
If Peter Jennings were alive today he would drop dead from embarrassment at what you try to pass off as news. But this and other examples of dumbing down the news -- not to mention moderating a campaign debate in a way that made Peter Jennings turn over in his grave -- means to me that it's time to switch to NBC. Shame on you Charlie Gibson and shame on ABC for putting you on TV without a sign over your head that says...NO NEWS, JUST MY OWN, MISGUIDED OPINION.
