Happy Memorial Day! I thought I sent ya'll a detailed message on Fri., May 23rd, but have my doubts as I don't see it and I do see what I sent on Sat.(which no one responded), so I will try again and be brief. My 34 yr.old step-daughter is a TBI patient due to a Domestic Violence attack in early Aug.'07. She spent Aug.in TICU and was released to the Spain Rehabilitation Center at the Univ.of Ala.in Birmingham Labor Day week-end. I spent a good bit of time with her there and read Bob's book during that time. She was released to go home the first week-end in Oct. Her Mother & Brother are her only caregivers as I live in Miss. Her Mother nor & I neither ever remarried and have remained close over the years so I am doing what I can on the computer here at work as neither of us has a home computer. Needless to say they are all challenged emotionally and financilally(still no SS Disability at all)on a daily basis. We need all the assistance and advice from whomever will help. We found out about the BIAA Caregivers Conference comming up in Dallas so I have made plans to attend since it is closer for me to travel and would be too expensive for all of us to attend. I do hope that I can meet with Lee at the conference for however long or short time she will have so tha I can give herpictures and articles on Sonya's ordeal.
