Mr Woodruff,
I wish you would do a story on the Medical Evaluation Boards (MEB) and The Physical Evaluation Boards (PEB) that are held at Fort Sam Houston, TX and the other Bases. And how they go through the Process of rating a soldier and his injury's. I just went trough the Process my self. An it was very unfair. I was threatened all the way trough the Process by the lawyer appointed to represent me and threats of what the board would do. I ended up accepting 40% permanent Disability from the military for my shoulder and arm I got nothing for my back even after a Nero surgeon said sugary was my only option and I had a 40% chance that it would help me. They refused to give me anything for my back (spine and nerve damage. These boards are being run by retired Officers that have their retirement from the military and are being paid to shaft soldier. An now my next battle is with the VA. You got to war for your country and then you come home and have to do battle with your country for them to take care of you. And they are very quick to tell you it is not their problem how you live now.
