I think there is so much involved in deciding whether the whole kidney subject is right or wrong.  First of all, when a person decides to save a person's life, it should not be based on how much, what a person should be considering is whether or not the decision is actually a genuine act of love and charity, or is it just a decision based on how much you will earn from the whole thing.  We tend to support the proverb, the love of money is the root of all evil.  If you are willing to help someone, then do it out of the kindness of your heart, not the dollar amount.  I am a person who is receiving dialysises treatments three times a week, and I would want someone who cares enough to help save my life to even offer my one of their kidneys, rather than to sell me one.  I believe a person, who is willing to sell an organ, is really not a loving and compassionate person.  The deciding factor is the motive behind the act,  you know donating or selling? We have to think about what we are doing. Are we just saying, I will only sell my organs, or am I helping to make a difference in saving someones life??????? Ultimately, the decision is up to the person, who am I to judge????? But I would want someone to help save my life out of the kindness and goodness of their heart, not for the almighty dollar!!!!!!!!!!

There is already an open market for organs in Asia and many Americans travel there for transplants rather than die waiting on a list here.

As a patient waiting for a kidney transplant, I wouldn't want a paid for kidney.  Who knows what health information has been withheld  in order to get that money?

uh, what health information do you think you get with a cadaver kidney? heck, you might not even know if that person's death wasn't hastened to get the organs.

Caffeine also reduces symptoms of kidney stones and stones in the gall bladder. Study on 81,000 women who were given treatment to drink 200 ml of coffee or about one cup per day showed reduced risk of kidney stones by 10%.

Drinking plenty of water everyday is still the best and safest way to take care of the kidney.
