My 25 year old nephew and his 24 year old wife cannot seem to get their lives together since they got back from Iraq.  She did two tours and he did one.  They are both out of the army, but are currently living in a motel.  They were evicted from their last place.  Although neither one has physical scars, there is something going on in their heads.  The wife has started using drugs and my nephew can't seem to hold a job.  They are currently living in Atlanta , Georgia and are homeless.  They claimed they went to the VA, but they could not provide any assistance.  What you have to know is that both of these individuals have indicated they they are "okay."  To them there are no issues.  But to everyone else, it is plain to see.  I believe that they (mostly her) are a danger to not only themselves, but potentially to one another.  Any suggestions or ideas to help the?  By the way we live in Maryland.  Thanks, Very Concerned.

Hi There,

Do you think they are suffering from severe depression or even PTSD and it's just too soon for them to realize it? Will the VA speak to any of the family members about  this concern? There are a lot of soldiers coming back with "invisible war injuries" like PTSD. Good luck to you.

Sunnye
