This story last night deeply touched my heart, as I am the daughter of a very brave man who served in Iraq for a year and a half. Thankfully, my Dad made it home safe, but it was a huge sacrifice for my entire family--we missed our best friend for and were very worried for a very long time. I sympathize greatly with the men, women and children who are all affected by this war.
When my Dad was gone, I did find some comfort, and I hope you will too, in the fact that the Amercian people (even if they don't presently have loved ones in Iraq) haven't forgotten about you and the sacrifices you and your families make, despite our individual feelings on this war. I think , hope and pray for you all each and every day. Our troops and their families are all our heros.
