What constitues "competent screening" mentioned in your interview?
My daughter-in-law lost an apparently healthy pregnacy in month 6 due to an underlying hypertention issue. She was taking medication for this condition, and had a previous successful pregnacy, (a healthy girl now 2 years old,) under the same circumstances. She spent 24 hours on this delivering a dead baby, my one and only grandson, at Mass General the week before Thanksgiving.
She was keep in the hospital on IV for two days, is at home with restricted activities, visiting nurse, six weeks forecasted for physical recover. We were fortunate we didn't loose Mom as well.
The assumption is that this likely was her last pregency which is an additional burden for her.
I am worried about the mental toll on her so your piece was very timely. My son is doing a great job but this situation is out of anyones frame of reference in our family.
I will do my best to insure "competent screening" happens, and would appreciate any other advice or comments you give to us at this tough time.
