How do we have light and dark here on Earth and how can light be if there was no Sun/star?

It is because there is the Sun and the Earth revolves around it and the Earth revolves itself.

But the Bible only says things were made but one of the first things to "be made" was light.

But how can there be light if there is no Sun/star and would this light and dark be divided?

The idea is the idea from a scientific point of view where things have known workings.

We have light since the Sun shines and there is darkness because of the Earth rotating.
