When are people going to wake up? This horrible crime was not commited because this derranged A$$ had a gun, or easy access to them. He was crazy, mentally ill, and determined to cause hurt and pain to other people. Due to this, had he not had a gun, he would have had somthing else. A baseball bat, a knife, an axe, or God forbid, he could have been a suicide bomber and taken out twice as many people. All of these things are more readily accessible than a handgun. A ten year old could make a bomb out of a few household chemicals that could take out half a city block. All THAT takes, is a few key strokes on the internet. So would all of you people that think stronger gun laws are going to stop these horrific crimes, WAKE UP? Look into why this Jerk was not stopped when all of the warning signs were given. Quit blaming the GUN. It will not help to take them away from law abiding citizens. Criminals are CRIMINALS. They break the law!!! Do you think making it illigal for people to obtain them will stop someone who wants them to comitt a crime? No, but what it will do is stop ME... from protecting my family from the CRIMINALS... who obtain them. Had someone in that classroom had a concealled weapons permit and had been carrying that day there is a great possibility this tragic incident could have been much less tragic. Possibly, stopped all together. So again I say, WAKE UP!!! Stop trying to tighten up or take away my right to protect my family. Do your research before you make ignorant comment about "If we had more strigent gun laws this may not have happend." when in fact if we had more liberal gun laws this A$$ may have been taken out berfore he shot anyone!!!

Not that this is has too much to do with the original posting, but I wanted to see how many others it bothers. This is a direct qoute from ABC's website reagarding the shooter "Some news accounts have suggested that Cho had a history of antidepressant use, but senior federal officials tell ABC News that they can find no record of such medication in the government's files. This does not completely rule out prescription drug use, including samples from a physician, drugs obtained through illegal Internet sources, or a gap in the federal database, but the sources say theirs is a reasonably complete search. " I'm sorry, but when did the feaking government start keeping records of ordinary citizen's private medical histories? Apparently our constitutional right to bear arms isn't the only right being taken away from us.....

The government knows everything they want to know about a person. Don't be fooled by the sugar coating of "this is put in place to help you"
