There will always be psychopaths like Mr. Cho, Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacey, etc. who apparently enjoy killing a lot of people. Iraq seems to be full of them. And there will always be those who will waste hours & days & weeks trying to figure out why. Why? Why why? Actually we will never, never, never, never, never, never know why anyone kills. Only what we surmise or maybe what they SAY about it. The question then is, ?who is going to protect us from the murderers?? Congress? Who in Congress? All of them? Some of them? Got any names? Don?t bet on it. Law enforcement? Did you get a good look at all the overweight, do-nothings, in their fancy, high tech uniforms with their highly trained K-9?s going around in their own little circles outside the building where the shooting took place? Apparently waiting anxiously to go back to their computers for another donut & coffe, or maybe pizza & coke or a cheeseburger & frys? Probably not. Ourselves? I understand the Virginia Legislature denied the students the right to defend themselves by recently passing a law making the VT campus a ?Gun Free Zone?. In effect giving Mr. Cho a shooting gallery all his own. I can assure you that had any of the students (female or male) been carrying they would have punched Mr. Cho?s ticket muy pronto. And of course, depending on how many had been carrying, some students might have been killed in the cross-fire by friendly fire in the process of killing Mr. Cho. But not 32. No where near 32. I go back to my reply from yesterday about no perfect solution. No black, No white, just shades of grey. I can not think of a better example than this to illustrate that point. And while the arrogant, not overly bright, weak kneed aholes in Congress and the Virginia Legislature continue to argue & debate ad infinitum to find that perfect solution, all those in these insane ?Gun Free Zones? stand completely unprotected from the next psychopath. How sad.

The above is a perfect example of Consumerism vs. Patriotism.. ............ And American men seem confused in the MIX.. .. I might add..ridiculously "patriotic"..like the Alamo story of a drunk Jim Bowie..slobbing all over the place..yet...huge in the eyes of patriotism.. .. Save the SALES until the CONSUMER is qualified.. instead of issueing a JIM BOWIE passport.

Law enforcement? Who by the way, has no legal obligation to protect any specific citizen from any sort of crime. They have a general obligation to try to get criminals off the street, but if their failure to do so results in you being the victim of a crime, sorry, that's just your tough luck.
