I watched this on GMA this week and I have to say I was shocked! Who really thinks that $100 blouse is affordable? That is insane to even suggest to the general public that $100 is affordable for a blouse. I would not pay a $100 for a blouse or even a winter jacket, or a prom dress! Here in Maine where people live on actual budgets we shop at wal-mart when we want new or when we can not find it at a thrift store. I can buy a whole new outfit..slacks, blouse, shoes, and a jacket for under $20.....why would I ever waste my hard earned cash on one blouse for $100 or a skirt and jacket for $300..........in my neck of the woods we call that ridiculous!

I'm sure some of those people have never even stepped foot in a Wal-Mart.

How about groceries? I have seen family and friends with check out bills in the $100-300 range for a week worths of groceries. I spend under a $100.00 and feed good food, breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as snacks. A trip to Wally world may save you money when it comes to clothes or may not, but what about groceries? I like Alid for groceries. As for clothes, I shop around for sales and I go to resale shops. I have gotten my daughter a whole wardrobe of new and like new clothes for under $150.00 for the entire next school year, including her winter and summer clothes, jacket and shoes (dress, sneakers, etc.). Though I would spend $100.00 on a prom dress, I did in high school, but it was a memory that was worth it. I think we can all pick a one time splurge every now and then and be ok, but to think that $100.00 is realistic for a shirt for the common man (which is what the bulk of us are) is rather riduculas. Not me, I am not real inclined to spend $20.00 on one, must less $100.00.
