I used to watch "This Week" for years. I stopped watching about 3 years ago when it became more and more apparent that no news that wasn't good news for Obama and democrats would ever be discussed on that show.
Occasionally, though, I'd watch the Roundtable online. So imagine my surprise to log on while ago to view it, only to see Steve and Cokie Roberts, along with Al Sharpton, as Christian Amanpour brought up some unnamed poll stating that 18% of Americans believe Obama is a Muslim.
Steve and Cokie proceeded to claim this was "a metaphor for racism" (Steve) and then Cokie's was off the charts pathetic:
ROBERTS, C.: Because the same people won't - won't say I don't like him
cause he's black. So it's - it's - and - and the fact that it's
acceptable to dislike him because he's a Muslim is the problem that you
were talking about.
The election isn't for 18 months; isn't it a bit soon for ABC to be painting Obama as the victim for votes? Playing the race card like this is absolutely unbelievable. And you wonder why you are losing viewers. D'uh...maybe you should look at some other polls besides unnamed ones saying a small minority of Americans think Obama is Muslim, and instead maybe view the ones that show he has a <45% approval rating and try to comprehend that the public is sick and tired of the media doing his bidding.
