It is my sincere hope that ABC News will quickly discover that they are "cutting the head from the goose that laid the golden egg!" This Week had a wise and proven track record with the original roundtable format (especially commentary from George Will), "In Memoriam", and Sunday Funnies segments. Without these programming features, This Week is just another Sunday news program, and in some respects, less of one in direct comparison with their competition!
I am especially concerned over the loss of the "In Memoriam" feature! It was (and still is) important for me to see, learn of, and to personally honor the loss of not only our fallen soldiers(I am a military veteran and very proud of it), but the loss of our entertainment, political, and social Icons of note. In many cases, I would not have been aware of the passing of such individuals without watching this segment!!! I had grown to depend on ABC News on Sunday mornings, as "This Week" was the only news program that provided this information on a consistent weekly basis. That was my personal reason for choosing to watch "This Week" over their rivals!
These segments set the program above their peers. Now that they are gone, in favor of the "new format", going to church without watching Sunday morning television or just sleeping in are two better endeavors than watching what is being provided weekly on "This Week" now!!! ABC News.....bring these time honored segments back or risk watching "This Week" become just another boring collection of Sunday morning news babble and disappearing into further mediocrity and eventual oblivion!!! Please excuse my use of improper English in this message title, but it does sum up my feelings on the subject rather nicely!!!

Amen Brother.  Be intersting to see what far flung country and what bizarre topic she will come up with today.  It is an absolute crime on what has happened to this program.   We would honor the dead if the Ghadifi brothers died---but not our military.  This program longs for Tapper or anyone that is a True American.

Agree. I have been a faithful follower of This Week since David Brinkley and the current format, focused on the host, is such a departure from the original/unique news show that it can no longer be called This Week.
It is now more about the host and her international interests instead of about issues the nation faces.
I used to look forward to the Roundtable with great expectations of all contributers, but now I gag and
I can no longer watch it. I had thought that the few moments at the end, Memoriam, was also a unique trademark.
Removing those few moments suggests a switch in philosophical approach and interests of the host, to the detriment of the show.

This topic has been an issue on Christiane Amanpour's FB page for weeks. No one is paying attention.  I thought ABC stood for American Broadcasting Company.  I guess they have moved on to bigger and better things than the US Military casualties.

I think we shall all be moving on also........

If you can't find time to respect those that are near and dear to the viewers, then we shall become ex-viewers.

We aren't asking for much. Just a few minutes of the show for tribute and recognition.

Shame on ABC for letting this happen!

Are we xenophobic about Christianne?  Sure the format is different and I miss the regular 'In Memorium", even tho' it still is included sometimes. Change for such a news show venerated for decades since the 1960's is hard to adapt to and accept.

The whole world has changed and now we focus on a broader scene.

We have to adapt.

This is not 1960, 1970, 1980, 1990, 2000 anymore.

Bush left this country in such a devastated state the any successor  would have to take 4, if not 8 years to undo or fix.

We are all in this together.

President Obama is doing the best he can.  Give him a break - ok?
