I wholeheartedly agree with many of the people who have posted to this message board. The uniqueness that once was This Week is now gone. I have always counted on This Week to provide unique insight and analysis regarding the geo-political issues of the week. But, instead of letting the expert analysis be the focus, the focus now Christiane's myopic news selection and opinions. Send her back to CNN and let her globe trot around the world. The Tucson shooting and Egypt reporting felt like I was watching the local news with "team reporting" about a snow storm. It could not have been more prosaic. The round table has been for a long time at the heart of This Week. One could always rely upon differing views and discerning guests to educate the viewer. The Islam, Tucson, and Egypt shows were poorly produced. I don't want to hear only one journalist's point of view, and especially not Christiane's, but I want to hear that mixture of politicians like Robert Reich, pundits like George Will and experts like Paul Krugman with Sam Donaldson and Cokie Roberts throw-in the mix. With the exception of the period of time during a tour in Iraq, I have steadfastly watched This Week for over 15 years. Whenever I had to choose between shows to watch it has always been This Week. It is the only show that I watch every single week. Those days are over. I thought once Christiane settled in she would return the show to its uniqueness. Now, I feel like I am watching yet another cable broadcast. Christiane has made story selection the issue as opposed to the analysis. I want analysis of all the pressing issues, not simply the issue that is pressing to Christiane.

I agree that the "roundtable" which used to be 1/2 the program and brought well-informed views for comparison has become an advertisement for the "green room".  If I wanted to be online, I wouldn't have turned on the television!  Bring back the quality "Roundtable" that made This Week worth watching...

The round table will never be half the show in her format.  Not enough time focusing on her.  That is what this show is all about now.  We should re-name it... The Follys of Christian.

We agree.  We much prefer Jake Tapper as moderator instead of Christiane.  He is much more thoughtful in his technique for interviewing people and moderating the round table debates. Christiane appears to be more focused in expressing her own views rather than hearing those she is interviewing.  She is a real step down from George Stephanopolis.  We think you made a mistake in choosing Christiane and thus you are losing viewership.  Her hand gyrations are extremely distracting.  She should learn to talk without extreme gestures.
