Why does the main stream media give such credence to celebrities? Naming Sean Penn or any celebrity may bring listeners on board and good for ratings, but all I have to do is read where any "movie star" opines on topics other than their acting, and I will turn them off. I respect their freedom to speak, but not to 'act' like an authority on what they feel is wrong with our system of democracy. It is shameful for anyone to rub elbows with leaders of other countries that do not respect us and then voice opinions out of their realm of education or expertise. These same people come home to America and start badmouthing our country. ABC would do well to talk to main stream America. "Enough already" of pushing the so-called celebrities in our face for anything but comments on their latest movie. With the world in such turmoil, we don't need overload on anything to do with their lives. Naming a celebrity may bring listeners on board and good for ratings, but it's not important for struggling Americans.
