the choice of the the host will highly influence the ratings and those that view.  Of all the people at CNN the choice of Christina A. is a terrible choice.  If George Will goes away in which i expect he will=I will never watch again.  Again terrible choice.

Amanpour said she wants to make "This Week" more about foreign affairs and less focused on domestic American politics. If she takes the job, her desire is to do a number of shows each year outside the country. If she takes the post, sources say this would be a complete remaking on the show, a program much more focused on international affairs. What's more, Amanpour is telling colleagues that she does not wish to move to Washington, D.C., that she'd prefer to remain in New York and travel for the job should she decide to take it.

 

HaHa,, notice he was on "vacation" this week. Next week? The grandkids are visiting? Week after that? The Plague. Then no more Will...He's by far not the only reason I enjoy watching this show, but I already do not enjoy some of the selections that have been made for the round table, among other things. (refer to other posts I've made, lol)

I know this was written several months ago, but I'm not at all surprised by what you are saying. And it's already happening, it's very obvious....

Amanpour is a terrible host. Such a clear bias and condescending to everyone. Can't stand Meet the Press since Tim died so I guess I'm off to CBS to give them a whirl. Jake Tapper was a far superior host! Very bad move by ABC on this one!

I cannot stand Christiane.  She doesn't let folks talk.  She uses her glasses as a pointer.  Terrible choice for a host.  I don't like the new set, either.  Why change something that is working well?  I loved George Stephanopolous.  Jake Tapper, while not as good, was still pretty good.  This lady is terrible and will take the show down the tubes.

The new "round table" is insulting to the guest.  It has her at the center of power with the guests clustered in a small space.  What were they thinking?

Cokie Roberts was on the show and Christiane barely let her talk.  There was even one point when Cokie asked if she could discuss an opinion different from Christiane's.

I just asked in another thread where has Cokie been. I miss her. I must have missed the part you mentioned about Cokie asking if she could express an opinion different from Christiane's, but that sounds awesome! TeamCokie all the way! If I didn't love this show (previously) so much I would not even bother to write, I would just leave the show completely. I still have hope the network will see the problem and bring Jake back. I think we've lost George for good, but Jake was great and I miss him. Terribly.
