George Will did it again. Showing that he either cares nothing for working class people and only for wealth, or that he is really just an articulate idiot, he suggest that what we need is "Mandatory Payments to Private Health Insurance Companies" to solve our health care needs.
Mr. Will, please go on to explain how this is really different than what we have now?
Please explain how requiring me to pay private insurance companies to make a profit off of my health care is a good thing for me or my doctor?
I'll tell you what, Mr. Will, here's a better idea, and keep in mind that I'm not being paid to talk here, how about we allow for private companies to bid on managing health care payments on a flat rate per client basis?
Or how about we allow people to choose from private companies that start-up to provide that service and make them divulge their rates for doing so?
And instead of giving insurance companies all our money for health care, we, the working people, place it in a public fund. If there is money left over at the end of the year in the fund we can reduce the rates to participate. Call it a "Healthy Nation Bonus". If there is a deficit, raise the rates.
We've tried it your way, Mr. Will. We tried without a government mandate. It does not work.
Of course, Mr. Will will not respond or explain.
But if he did, he would likely say, "Do you really trust the government to manage this huge fund you speak of?"
No. No I don't. But what difference does it really make to me if the government takes the profit in the middle, or private companies?
And more importantly, what difference does it make to you Mr. Will?
