In recent years the line between professional journalism and tabloid trash has become increasingly blurred. I don?t recall Edward R. Murrow or Chet Huntley covering stories about the juvenile antics of Hollywood celebrities. The gullible media treat pseudo-documentaries cranked out by unqualified self promoters like Michael Moore and Al Gore as gospel. If I want to hear simple-minded pop culture drivel from Sean Penn, I?ll watch Entertainment Tonight or the Insider.
Now that we?ve heard from the esteemed scholar of Ridgemont High I suppose we will hear the astute observations of Paris Hilton on next weeks show.
