The greatest sacrifice a person can make for their country is when they sign that paper to serve, so I believe the least that we can do as a nation and as a government is to not send them in to harms way unless it is absolutly necessary. Sadly, Lt. Watada may serve time for his beliefs and Bush and Cheney who did not serve will not serve any time for recklessly sending these troops in to harms way based on false intellegence and manipulation of evidence.

This is ridiculous. It's not about Bush or Cheney it's about the United States military. We aren?t talking about the 4-H club we are talking about men and women taking on the responsibility of defending out country. They can't pick and choose which orders they will fallow! Ridiculous.

This was sent to me from a soldier in Iraq. He said that the only reason the terrorists continue to murder in Iraq is because they see the celibs (liberal Hollywood) being more vocal. The anti-american protestors (Penn, Chicks, Fonda, Sarandon, etc.) are giving the terrorists a moral boost. Don't lose resolve! American Revolution = 25,300 deaths The Civil War = 863,153 (both sides) ----Gettysburgh = 7,058 Deaths World War II = 405,399 Deaths ----Pearl Harbor = 2117 Deaths ----D-Day = 2,500 Deaths (Just one day) ----Iwo Jima = Approx. 7,000 Deaths Korean War = 54,246 Deaths Vietnam War = 56,244 Deaths September 11, 2001 = 3,021 Deaths Operation Iraqi Freedom = 3,000

more interesting stats: more than 25000 British soldiers died between Basra and Baghdad in 1915-16. The Siege of Kut-al-Amara (the U.S. lost a few dozen on the same route 87 years later) More American soldiers died in the first 3 hours at Antitiem than have died in 4 years in Iraq.
