Yes New Orleans got HIT HARD by Katrina but WHAT ABOUT those in Slidell,La,Pearl River, La and even in Waveland, MS, Bay Saint Louis,Ms, Pass Christian, Ms, Long Beach, Ms and G'port and Biloxi, MS????? LOOK at where the eye of Katrina went inland and think about those people PLEASE--all you ever hear about on the news is New orleans and I'm PERSONALLY SICK of it LOOK some where else and see about what those people are going through too PLEASE They're are other places in this US of A that got hit a LOT WORSE from Katrina if you'd only open your eyes and look

The majority of the damage didn't come from the storm itself boogie but the storm surges. We all know that there were other areas that were affected by Katrina, and Rita. However, N.O. did take the brunt of the damage. With all the flooding it may take some time before everyone from N.O. can return home... Look at how long it is taking them to get the schools back up and running. Right now they only have one School that is up and running and out of all the students that were enrolled there only 120 of them have come back. These other areas that were devistated by Katrina, and Rita are not without recognition. All most of us can do from where we are is Empathize for those who are the victims.
