Seems that the most relevant source of carbon dioxide emmisions is a sore subject with environmentalists. Every time a mammel (most notably...humans) exhales the predominent gas emmited is carbon dioxide. With a human population of 6 billion people 65,000 TONS of carbon dioxide is emitted each MINUTE. Add to this the livestock required for our survivel and you can see that population is our most serious culprit. What do we do about it? Well we can't kill one or two billion off so it seems it might be too late t do anything about it.

What can we do? We have got ourselves stuck into a quagmire of conflicting forces.... sooner or later the consequences of industrialization, burning of fossil fuels, and overbreeding is going to catch up to us. There is nothing we can do, and nothing we are willing to do. We live in a society that honors debauchery and ignores decency. Scandals and societal problems always make head line news.... and Americans don't want to take responsibilty for anything. This conflagration of the Earth is just a reminder that we don't own the Earth, she only permits our existance. Let's not push our luck.... we've got to stop polluting the air immediately, because I'd hate to be around when the Earth decides to do away with us all togethor. But of course, how do you convince six and a half billion people to stop living the way they are?

What do you mean "how do you convince six and a half billion people to stop living the way they are? Easy, everyone just give up a breath of air each day, that will cut down on the carbon dioxide, I don't know how you would get that message accross to the animals though.

Scientists say that in fact less than 1% of the atmosphere is made up of carbon dioxide. If humans (Americans) are the cause of global warming, we can't be very much of a cause.

Well has any one here read a book ? I bet a few have ! Go read about the planet warming , it has been happening from the 16th century until today. How many in this thread know the last ice age was in the 16th century just 400 years ago ? Look worry about your community, help raise the children and stop pointing at the brat next door , get to know who you live next to and be a part of a community before you become an expert on planet issues...For gods sake we are killing our selves in ways that global warming can never keep pace with and all you here about is "Global Warming" I will make a deal with those concerned, when our weather and planet scientists can predict the weather perfectly for 1 year (365) days I will then bow to there feet and kiss them and accept this issue is real and not political folly to distract voters from real life worries like how they raise and spend 200 million dollars for a 250,000 dollar a year job . . Think about that , 200 million for a 250k job ,, ya the earth is warming all right and the politicians have you looking left while there right hand is up to no good ..
