A lot of people voted and said that they would change the sex of their baby if they good -- would you? Why or why not?

No way would I give the ok to do that (if i had a wife)....It is messing with the divine plan. If nature/God wants a woman to have a certain sex baby then that is nature/God's plan. Nature worked perfectly for a very long time and here comes the modern human being with their new and "improved" way of doing things. No one knows the long term effects of messing with nature/God in such a way. And from what history has show us every time we do change nature we degrade life and ultimately ourselves. As i have said 1000s of times here on these boards ...True progress is not technological...It IS spiritual. And besides there is something miraculous and beautiful about letting the unknown aspects of life choose the sex of a child. Nature/God should be the controller not human beings. And if we do want to have an influence on anything then it should be done through intangible methods like prayer and love...And just simple human will and want without the technology. Technology will damage the human being not make us better. Human beings are not wise enough to choose what sex their child should be...We would create an imbalance in life. A serious imbalance. Children will eventually become nothing more than a commodity and then there will be choosing of what color eyes and height and even "intelligence" ...which really wont be truly good intelligence. It will become an even more sicker and twisted world than this world is now.

While I also feel that humans should not dabble in such affairs, it is BECAUSE we are human that we can do these things. We have the means, we have the intelligence, we have the will. And as for you saying that true progress is not technological, it is spiritual, I believe (but don't force it upon others) that technological progression is more true than spiritual. Technology uses known fact, not human belief, to justify events, and as we know human minds can be corrupt or innaccurate.

Except technology without ethics can lead to big problems.

I'm quessing the manner would be some FORM of gene-mapping/ Or Chromosone Identity.. DNA and RNA manipulation is a place to end society.. I doubt that success would venture into a real positve likeable union.. Instead the steadfast would wane-the problems would be hidden-and the logical end devised over night.
