Could they have something to do while they are on their way as to keep them occupied and to keep them in their best possible form for what they would be doing once they get there?

Should we try to give the people, who would be going, all that they could ever want in all the different sciences, such as they have in Star Trek, which would give them something that would keep them from getting bored or keep them from doing something they shouldn't do?

Would we need to have a protocol for those who are on other planets as to make sure there would be something that they could go by just in case they can't get in contact with us about something that would need to be done or to be able to handle situations that were unforeseeable?
