If we actually believe in the process of Evolution, this is normal. We entered the 6th mass extinction 10,000 years ago (Long before SUVs) and Natural Selection and Survival of the Fittest continues. Why are we fighting the natural course of the earth? If it's been going on for billions of years then it shouldn't be a problem when animals or plants go extinct and new ones better suited to the ever-evolving earth develope. And if Humans are on the verge of extinction themselves then maybe the surviving few will evolve into a new Super-species, it's about time. If Mass extinction has already occured 5 times why do we think that we somehow have the power or even the responsibilty to change it this time around?
