This is just a publicity stunt on a has been's attempt to stay out of jail, gain sympathy, and become a hopeful candidate for more movie roles.  There is NO way he has snorted or smoked the amount of cocaine or crack he claims and still be alive.  He weighs 200+ pounds and  has no nasal problems lingering from an 18 year addiction?  Rock bottom, my foot.  $50,000 a month and he has hit rock bottom.  HA!  My husband, a recovering cocaine addict, snorted  $200 a day, lost 45 lbs,  and has 2 holes in his nasal septum.  This occurring over  his 7 years of cocaine addiction.  We have sat here and listened to a bunch of bull come out of Daniel's mouth when we have lived the nightmare.  He has all these stories to tell after 9 times in rehab... listening to others tell their stories.  Put a non-famous drug addict on your show who will not benefit from it and you will have a real story.

We aren't disputing he may have a problem, and wish him the best, but this story should have been checked for authenticity before broadcasting to millions.  We were very disappointed in  Primetime.  Go into the real world and find real people who deal with this on a daily basis. Then you will get the picture of what a cocaine addict, his family, and friends go through.

Baldwin has gotten out of legal problems by running to rehabs and because he is famous.  Now he is using both of these points to get on the air for a comeback.  If ratings are what Primetime is about and not the truth, then ABC has lost our support.

I'm not sure I get your point.  Of course there is embellishment going on with respect to his use, the guy was almost in complete denial that his using caused problems for him.  Having never used cocaine, I can't speak to his physical condition but I know plenty of fat alcoholics as well as skinny ones, so I'm betting it is essentially the same with coke.

It was a good program that tried to tell a very difficult and complex story that many people are in denial about.  I think any attempt to educate is good.  At least it didn't center around P.H. for once.  Plus, Cynthia kind of does it for me.

I think primetime did their jobs as far as the story on Daniel Baldwin.  But I firmly believe Mr. Baldwin is feeding everybody a line.  If he was as committed to changing his life as he claimed, he would have followed the rules set forward for everybody!!  He was told to change you have to learn humility, I heard none of that when he talked about how many other jobs he could have and still have larger than life income.  He was told not to jump into any new relationships, and was told not to return to work.  He listened to only what he wanted to hear.  And did only what he wanted to do. Daniel Baldwin is a fantastic actor, he just proved it to us all on Primetime.  Primetime's job was to interveiw Mr. Baldwin, they can not be penolized because Daniel Baldwin wants to claim he's hit rock bottom.  I'm sure he's hitting rock, but that wouldn't be bottom.
