The two hour tribute without commercials to Peter Jennings, Reporter, was the most meaningful, inspirational, thoughtful, uplifting bit of television that I've seen in a long time. That kind of programming of substance is what an intelligent audience expects. I would think the ratings of that Wednesday night would probably indicate to you how hungry we all are for TV of this calibre. The mindless nonsense that we are subjected to needs to cease. The high standard Peter Jennings set should be the legacy ABC should follow in the future.
