I just can't stand it. It took to yesterday to post a message, now I can't get off the computer. I bought the People magazine with his picture on the cover. I have to turn the mag over....I can't look at his picture. I want him back on TV....I look for anything and everything that will let me hear his voice. ABC....do you think you could put a DVD set together with all Emmy winning segments for the public to purchase. I need something that shows him in his prime. He was everywhere....now he is nowhere...forever. Lori

Lori, I adored Peter. I wouldn't talk to my husband when Peter was on, I wouldn't get on the phone and I made sure I was home by 6:30 every night to watch WNT. Unfortunately, we can't bring him back. It hurts quite a bit. We do have a lot of good memories of him broadcasting the news and also of his specials. As long as ABC keeps this thread going, we have each other. Irene NJ

Okay I'm going to say OUT LOUD we need to talk not just in this message board. I have it in my head of a gathering in Central Park or somewhere significant to Peter. I don't know who would be interested Maybe we could have our own memorial service. I need to hear someone else say how much they love Peter. I need to hear how somewone else cried thier eyes out and as of day 12, I still am. Okay, I got that off my chest.

Lori I am the same way too, I bought the People magazine with his picture on the cover, and read his story over and over.. I want him back on TV again, and don't want to believe he is gone forever. There are so much going on in the world today, we need Peter Jennings'news. Ronda

If Peter were still with us he would have been in the Gaza Strip standing in the crowd reporting while the evacuations were going on. It was the kind of story he loved best and the energy coming from it would add fuel to his already high energy. I couldn't help but wonder that last few days as I watched the coverage at other news networks, just how much of the story we are missing because Peter isn't here to tell it to us. Our sentiments exactly, as I have been saying. An Associated Press writer likens these feelings to having lost a father, since the departure of Brokaw, Rather, and the death of Jennings. I hadn't expected this depth of loss, but I believe Jennings's passing has been the last straw on the camel's back, which has left us feeling bereft. aloha

It's just like someone said yesterday. "It's like he just disappeared." He was with us every weeknight on WNT, he got sick, we never saw him again, and now he's dead and there is nothing. Just a big void. It really is like...... he just disappeared. Thank God ABC is keeping these boards up for us all to talk. It certainly helps. Lee
