Well things seem to be framed as if it is either or or. I get bored with the way so many issues are framed.

It is one of the reasons why we don't do good history, granting that doing good history is inherently difficult.

That 'opposing views' format for talks shows is a kind of a sham, in my view, anyway. God forbid that someone of superior analytical prowess be given a chance to 'turn that mutha out'. Raz, I dedicate that you. hey hey.

Frankly, one has to use many strategies and tactics to get people thinking. If done in the spirit of decency and humility then it's for best.

The crux of the problem is the extent of the commercialization of the knowledge acquisition system. The real transformative power of ideas has been undermined to a substantial degree because mostl venues are driven to find new content. This is that issue that dogs us.
