Our local news just announced they will not be utilizing the Grand Jury for Zimmerman. I haven't heard why yet though.

I'm surprised by this.  Taking it to the grand jury seemed like a good way to pass the buck and placate the lynch mob for awhile.   We all know that it does not take a great deal of evidence for a grand jury to hand down an indictment so this move seems kind of perplexing.

She can still charge Zimmerman with a crime.

I think she's setting herself up for some bad press if she doesn't charge him and NOT use the Grand Jury. So, I'm kinda thinking there are some charges coming.

I still stand by my opinion that she will scrape together any little pieces of evidence to disprove Zimmerman's story in order to charge him with something. She will turn it over to someone else to prosecute and when it comes back with a not guilty verdict (due to lack of evidence) she will claim the other people messed up and it wasn't her fault. She is under HUGE pressure to press charges and arrest him, and I don't think her base will be pleased with some little manslaughter charges.

Makes sense, trying to please everyone, without getting her hands dirty herself.
