Rather unfortunately, we are facing a situation where commercial interests are able to buy up people who who are basically pitching special interests. This is a tough environment in that sense. If you are willing to say and do then you will be sought out. Fortunately, there are also influential men and women who appreciate candor and superior thinking.
I still say few respect someone who operates a 'useful idiot'. They are often flat out wrong. And this is a disservice to successive generations, if indeed there will be such, given the extent of politics of prestige and unaccountable opinion markets.
