Look, it doesn't matter if it was Ghengis #### Kahn walking through that neighborhood; if he wasn't doing anything wrong, there was no reason to harass him. The various interests chiming in on the story can muddy the waters a la OJ all they want with a bunch of irrelevant background, but the only two facts that matter are the dead kid, and the smoking gun.

then he had no reason to run, hide, and then attack the neighborhood watchman. But he did and he got shot.

He may have run out of fear...although his girlfriend claimed he was not going to run. However, we really don't know who attacked who first. Based on at least two calls, there was a confrontation, words, then a wrestling match...but, it's unclear who started that. Personally, I think anyone carrying a gun would be foolish to start a physical wrestling match and risk it being taken from him, or it falling it out.

Regardless of who was the aggressor - NBC intentionally portrayed Zimmerman as a racist by editing the tapes to make it appear like that. They stoked the fires of racism among the ignorant.
