Van Zandt County in East Texas is a place where you think children are safe and law enforcement puts serving and protecting babies above all else. Unfortunately this is not always the case. When it has been reported that a child or children may have been sexually abused while in a day care center and an owner's husband and father of an alleged suspect is allowed in on the investigation, is that in the best interest of the children? When the father of one child gets a message from said investigator that lets him know the investigator is aware the Texas Rangers have been notified of the situation, is that in the best interest of the children? Why was this person told anything about the alligations much less allowed to participate in an initial investigation? Little girls have been examined physically and psychologically and it has been confirmed they have been molested. Yet this "official" member of the law enforcement community is still communicating with parents of children who attended his wife's daycare. Some say they have felt threatened. They fear he will use his status with other members of law enforcement in the community to be watched and harassed. If indeed the son of this man is guilty of this what makes a teenage boy behave this way? Some doctors say abuse begets abuse. This is a small town and in the town rumors snowball and stories get blown out of proportion.  Certainly children have been abused, certainly Texas Rangers have been notified, certainly a close relative was initially involved in the investigation, and appears to still be receiving information on the case. Rumors (somewhat substantiated)  indicate that the owners were lovers and now it is being said the women and their husbands were swingers and other upstanding members of the community may have been involved in that.  It is even being said that said officer has a trailer on his property  called  The "Get Poked" . Of course as long as all were of legal age and consenting participants, that is not a legal issue.  The daycare center is not located on the same property. Supposedly lie detector tests have been passed, but would not a long time law enforcement agent know better than most how to "beat the test" ? I , like others am afraid of so called Van Zandt County Justice, but this needs to be investigated and needs to be done so by an agency that is not afraid to let the chips fall where they may.  Babies have been hurt, law enforcement has been misused.
