I saw the debate you had on the devil and must state it was fascinating.  Deepak just like one of the debaters mentioned was pretentious. After the debate, he will go to his multi million dollar home, plop his obese self onto his multi thousand dollar king size bed and say to himself oh those fools!  Like they say there are no atheists in fox holes.  Deepak is a product of American excesses and foolishness in my opinion. That man has really not earned his way in this world.  The other debater you had the former bishop was much better.  He accurately surmised how Satan was the quintessential boogey man we must all fear.

I believe in Satan and the devil as a Christian. I saw how weekly defended certain aspects of evolution are and yet in Academia they never openly discuss it.  The world is older than what the bible mentions but possibly there have been multiple creations along the way. Possibly as the dinosaurs were wiped out 65 million years ago, the current creation will be destroyed at the battle of Armageddon.  Who really knows, but one is more likely to get struck by lightning than to have all the things they say happen with evolution actually happen.  It is just not possible.

Deepak is confused with how he equates religious beliefs with being primitive.  The greatest barbarism is usually committed by those who dont really believe anything.  They confuse Science and religion and evolution.  Evolution is the weakest of sciences if it can even be considered science.    When you drive your Prius, that is not because somebody believes in evolution. That is because Toyota did some R&D with the sciences. Not because they were looking for dino in Jurassic Park! The arguments are confused. I believe in science not evolution which I dont really consider to be science.

It looks to me that you are the one who is confused, not Deepak.
You call yourself a "Christian", but you have no idea what Christ really preached.  There's no way in hell that you can know that Christ believed in a devil/Satan, and that is a pun.  As you yourself wrote, "Who really knows"?
IMO, the greatest barbarism is committed by those who strongly believe in their rightiousness.  To hell with other thoughts, they say! If your ignorance is not already exposed, then you should know that the biological sciences have an evolutionary perspective, which is used in producing medicines such as antibiotics and flu vaccines.
Your beliefs are apparently derived by your socialized emotions, and not by objective/scientific thought.  Yes, religious beliefs as taught in churches are primitive, in comparison, indeed.
