I thought we (the John Q. Public) owns 80% or more of AIG - if this is the case, shouldn’t we setup a board representing us so that we can actually have a real say in every matter!?

Really, since we bought...I mean bailed them out, every dollar should be public knowledge, where they are spending, on whom, when, what plans, etc. 

I know that the Trumps, and Oprahs of the world would not put their money in something or someone that they don’t have a say over - really, who in there right mind would.

I think we should cut our losses and just let them go under...from what I understand 'they want more money!' 

Why would you give your money to a gambler or drugs to an addict? (Hopefully you won’t)

To answer your question ‘Yes and No’.  No, changing the name will not do a thing for them unless the economy recovers and then yes, it will help.  There is a large group of people that either aren’t paying taxes, or using identity theft to live on, or are addicted to something, working here but taking the money they earn to other countries....so they really don’t care and in time they will forget.
