My heart goes out to the family and friends of any of our fallen soldiers. Please God that they may bear their grief with help from many friends. It is so hurtfull that their children suffer so much as they miss their father. No matter what our beliefs about this war, we owe these men so much for their maximum sacrifice. There must be a special place in heaven for them as they are asked to do the  most terrible job in human history - war. All of you friends of the suffering family, please give these members of the soldier's a very long hug whenever you see them. Hold the children tight! As a WWII veteran I assure you that it will help them cope with their great loss. Thank you..so much..

As I was purusing through a magazine the other day, I came upon a story of a West Point graduate, all of twenty years old.  I know her name, but am reluctant to repeat it here.  What a star she was.  How bright was she at the top of her class at Westpoint.  She also sang in the school's gospel choir and played the tamberine so vigorously, other members of the choir often hid the instrument from her in jest.

Well, my daughter, and I call her my daughter because she belonged to us all, was shot down in Iraque.  It was a road side bomb.  She must of had visions of the terror because she expected that some officers would come knocking at her door with sad tidings about her.  She told her family about this procedure in vivid detail.

No words can define the loss.  This was a woman of great character, honor and intelligence.  We all owe our daughters in combat all the respect we can muster. All the love we can share, and we must always, always remember their sacrifice for us.  Especially at this time, when death is all around us.

God keep her Family,

Hold on be strong.

Wait upon the Lord

Be Strong of Heart and wait upon the Lord

Jesus is with you.
