Is being in Iraq helping our national security?

You asked: "Is being in Iraq helping our national security?"

Have we had any attacks on US soil of any consequences since 9/11?

Do you remember what Saddam did (all the while ignoring 17 UN resolutions, attacking coalition
no-fly zone aircraft, cutting out dissenters tongues and along with his sons basically raped and
pillaged his own country - he built 91 palaces with the Oil for food proceeds)?  He paid terrorists
families 25,000 to commit suicide attacks.  He sponsored terrorist training camps and he controlled
the oil flow for most of Europe importation from Iraq.

So tell me again what was so wrong with eliminating this despot?
What was so wrong with freeing 50+ million people who now enjoy a 400% increase in GDP?
Who now are free to have elections (even though Saddam received 100% in his last election) that
may bring the non-Baghdad people voice in their governement.
Tell me it was wrong to help rebuild an infrastructure where most households didn't have running water?

Don't believe the majority of the MSM out put.  They are not happy there are fewer soldiers dying in
Iraq and that the bombings and killings are subsided.
They like the Democrats and other anti-liberation politically driven animals are sad to see the
thug/barbarians being rounded up (1,000 by the iraq security forces in the last 2 days alone,
7,000 weapons caches uncovered versus 400 in all of 2006) they are very downtrodden that
US troops are not being killed.

So given all the facts that most people don't get about the real Iraq,  YES our security is better because
we have 5 less criminal despots to worry about!

Thank god that Bush dismantled that Iraqi invasion fleet before it hit our shores!

It didn't take an invasion fleet to excute 9/11 did it?
It is a widely acknowledged fact Saddam paid suicide terrorists families $25,000, so why would
Saddam have an invasion fleet.  Maybe you should remember what happened On April 28th 1944
when a large-scale training exercise for D-Day went terribly wrong, resulting in the death of over
700 allied servicemen.
Think about it!  And we we never invaded by Germany!  We declared war pre-emptively!  Why?
Germany et.al. plus Pearl Harbor, (remember that?) Japan declared war on us.
So why would Saddam who already defied the 1991 Cease Fire which the liberation of Iraq was
a continuation of 1991 he abrograted.
PLUS 15 UN resolutions Saddam totally ignored where the UN concerned about the 300,000 people
Saddam killed,
the Mesopotamian swamps he drained forcing 40,000 people to relocate.
And of course you wit seems to welt when you talk to the women with drill bit pocked faces by Uday and Qusay
tell horror stories of rape and deaths... but of course you and others totally ignore those aspects
and resort to sophomoric comments.
Please 3,000 US troops died because of people like you who think you are cute with statements like
what you made.  Harvard studies have shown the thug/barbarians love to hear words like you
and your ilk generated.  Words have deadly meanings to them and they were encouraged by people
like to to kill our troops.. and you make silly statements.
IT truly is a shame when history will show how many Quislings like you helped prolong the killings that
were totally caused by you.
