Why wasting time and money against BlackWater? They were in a hostile environment. In a hostile environment innocent lives are lost. Our rules of engagement is no productive and that is why we are in a hole.

Just the other day a contractor was caught attempting to sell Navy info to someone they thought was a spy. They got busted by a sting operation. The problem withh contractors is-they're on the side of whoever writes the biggest check-their only loyalty is to money. We shouldn't be using them. To quote (almost) a famous jerk "We go to war with the army we have-not the army we want"  We shouldn't buy additional soldiers-obviously they can't be trusted. If we don't have enough of our own to win a war-we shouldn't occupy countries on a whim.

I have to agree. We spend 4 times as much on contractors as we do on soldiers in Iraq. And we spend as much as 100 times on contractors in Iraq as on the war against Al Qaeda.

The Bush administration is an admitted failure in the war against Al Qaeda, and is marred by the corruption of Blackwater and Halliburton.

Given this, I don't truly understand how someone can say they support Bush and our troops at the same time.

"The Army's march to overhaul its tarnished contracting system has been slowed by an unlikely foe: the White House.

The Office of Management and Budget, President Bush's administrative arm, has shot down a service plan to add five active-duty generals who would oversee purchasing and monitor contractor performance
