Hi... I hope no one minds but i have to vent.... My Fiancee is an American and I'm Canadian, we planed to get married on Dec. 22-2007 but the problem is that they want me to have the following before I can enter the US,
I need my own place, bills in my name and show them pay stubs, well I stay at my daughters, I have bills in my name coming to that address and I'am self employed, so I do not have pay stubs. We paid $680.00 and sent in forms for the Fiancee Visa, I have the check to prove we did this and yet that is not good enough. So how can we get married if I can't get passed the border. I came back to Canada on August 14-2007 and was planning on going back to get married, but was turned back. What really gets me is that when we were in customs there were a lot of people from Iraq, Iran, and a few other places that had no trouble getting into the US. one lady did not even have a passport and yet she was allowed in. I'am not the one who has threaten the US in anyway, all I want to do is be with my Fiancee and live our life together (under the same roof). They want all this stuff from me but yet the ones they let in can't even speak ENGLISH....nor do they have jobs, oh I forgot the US Gov. sets them up with a place to live and what ever else they need, ( they are the ones that blew up the Twin Towers and everything else). So much for being the " LAND OF OPPORTUNITY," I guess it is if you can't speak English, and the color of your skin is different. The US Gov. needs to do some re-thinking about what or who they let in. I'm sorry if what I said bothers anyone, but after all isn't there also "FREEDOM OF SPEECH". Thank You....Ann C
